Romney Has Little Support

Mitt Romney visited a community center in Pittsburgh.  Only "4 couples" attended his speech.  Anybody with a dozen cookies should be able to attract a dozen people.  While the media calls Mitt Romney the presumptive nominee, Romney has no grassroots support:
Mr. Romney, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, met with four couples at the Bethel Park Community Center ...

Romney Signs Gun Ban

A short seven years ago, as Massachusetts Governor, Mitt Romney signed a gun-ban bill.  Mitt Romney is a liberal Democrat who happens to be registered Republican.  Republicans who respect gun rights must find a real conservative candidate.

“Deadly assault weapons have no place in Massachusetts,” Romney said, at a bill signing ceremony with legislators, sportsmen’s groups and gun safety advocates.  “These guns are not made for recreation or self-defense.  They are instruments of destruction with the sole purpose of hunting down and killing people.”
Like the federal assault weapons ban, the state ban, put in place in 1998, was scheduled to expire in September.  The new law ensures these deadly weapons, including AK-47s, UZIs and Mac-10 rifles, are permanently prohibited in Massachusetts no matter what happens on the federal level.

Romney Quiet On Gun Rights

Mitt Romney continues to maintain his silence on gun rights.  Being a liberal from Massachusetts, Mitt Romney's record shows he is not in favor of gun rights.

Gun Owners of America today sent an Open Letter to Gov. Mitt Romney, asking him -- yet again -- to submit his survey responses to GOA.

“We sent you a questionnaire not once, not twice but three times now,” said GOA Vice Chairman Tim Macy.

“What did you send back? A form letter stating you are pro-Second Amendment -- with absolutely nothing to back up this laughable claim.  As Governor, you were proudly anti-Second Amendment, but as you have with most issues, you have now changed your stripes to spots.”

Romney Is Anti-Gun

The national gun rights organization, Gun Owners of America, has rated the Republican candidates.  Mitt Romney is at the bottom of the list.

Romeny Fails To Generate Support

The St. Charles County Republicans Missouri Republicans held their caucus Tuesday evening.  Mitt Romney's lack of support was apparent because he decisively lost.

St. Charles County do-over caucus backs Paul

St. Charles County Republicans reconvened Tuesday, weeks after the initial caucus was canceled amid rules disputes and claims of favoritism. ...
Despite his front-runner status, Romney still failed to generate much support. Instead, slates of Paul supporters were picked for 2nd and 3rd District congressional caucuses later this month (the county straddles the two districts) and the statewide GOP convention in June. Even a late attempt by Santorum and Romney supporters to align fell short of topping Paul.

Weak Support

Gingrich claims Romney has weak and lukewarm support from Republicans.  This is to be expected for a candidate that is so similar to Obama.

Romney weakest front-runner since 1920
With two key Southern primaries on the horizon this week, Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich sharpened their attacks against Mitt Romney on Sunday, as Santorum bluntly declared that the former Massachusetts governor "can’t close the deal" and Newt Gingrich called Romney the party’s weakest front-runner since 1920.
